Premier Imaging uses quality, state of the art imaging equipment with highly skilled registered technologists.  They employ one of the most highly qualified and respected group of radiologists within the metropolitan Kansas City area.  Western Missouri Radiological Group staffs our Wornall location with 2 full-time radiologists daily to provide accurate, efficient diagnosis on all patients.  Premier Imaging is able to offer a variety of outpatient imaging studies including:  MRI/MRA (using a high field 1.5 Tesla magnet), CT & CT Angiography (including CT Cardiac Angiography using the Siemens 64 technology) , Advanced Vessel Analysis, Cardiac Scoring, Echocardiography, Ultrasound, Vascular Ultrasound, Mammography (both screening and diagnostic), x-ray and bone densitometry.

Western Missouri Radiological Group (WMRG) is the premier radiological group in the Kansas City Metropolitan area.  Eleven full-time board certified radiologists provide service to 2 major hospitals, 3 imaging centers and 4 magnetic resonance imaging centers.  WMRG Imaging is the leader in providing tele-radiology services to many institutions.

Kenneth M. Alfieri, M.D., was board certified in 1989 by the American Board of Radiology, American Board of Nuclear Medicine 1982 and American Board of Internal Medicine in 1980.  Dr. Alfieri worked in private practice prior to becoming a radiologist.  He graduated from New York Medical College and did his residency at Long Island Jewish-Hillside Medical Center.  He did a nuclear medicine fellowship with Harvard Joint Program and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.  He completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of California, San Diego in 1996.  Dr. Alfieri was an Assistant Professor at University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine from 1984-1985.  He is very experienced in all cross sectional anatomy modalities with additional training in CT Cardiac Angiography. 

Gwen R. Arnett, M.D. is currently president of Western Missouri Radiological Group.  She is one of the co-Medical Directors for Premier Imaging.  She provides Premier Imaging with her expertise in mammography and body imaging.  She graduated from The University of Kansas School of Medicine.  She did her residency at The University of Kansas with an emphasis in ultrasound and CT.  Dr. Arnett was certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1983 and was an Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas from 1983-1986.  Currently Dr. Arnett serves as Clinical Assistant at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.  Dr. Arnett and Dr. Kunz formed and managed St. Luke’s Outpatient Imaging Center. 

Matthew R. Caterine M.D. was board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1999.  He specializes in musculoskeletal and body imaging.  Dr. Caterine is the other co-Medical Director for Premier Imaging.  He did his undergraduate studies at The University of Notre Dame and graduated from The University of Iowa College of Medicine.  He received the Midwest Trainee Investigator, American Federation for Clinical Research in 1994.  He did his residency at Methodist Hospital of Indiana/Indiana University.

Richard L. Cronemeyer, M.D. was board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1981 and specializes in musculoskeletal radiology.  He attended The University of Kansas School of Medicine and graduated with honors in 1977.  His internship and residency was done under Dr. Templeton at The University of Kansas Medical Center.  Dr. Cronemeyer is Medical Director for Medical Diagnostic Center.  It currently houses the largest open magnet in the city. 

David F. Hazuka, M.D. was board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1974.  He performs all types of imaging including CT, MRI, ultrasound and mammography.  He attended Creighton University for his undergraduate studies and went on to attend The University of Nebraska College of Medicine.  His residency was done at Menorah Medical Center, Kansas City, MO. 

Stephen R. Kunz, M.D. was board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1978.  Dr. Kunz has special competency in mammography and was one of the pioneers of opening the Breast Center at St. Luke’s Hospital at the Plaza.  He has lectured around the country educating both physicians and radiologic technologists.   He attended Princeton University and graduated from The University of Kansas Medical School.  He did his residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO.  He worked in internal medicine and was Chief of Department of Family Practice at Medical Center of Independence and served as past president of the Greater Kansas City Radiology Society.  He founded the KC Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Society.   Dr. Kunz completed advanced training in CT Cardiac Angiography. 

Mark J. Lavin, M.D. became board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1995.  Prior to becoming a radiologist, Dr. Lavin was a board certified anesthesiologist.  He attended UCLA School of Public Health and graduated Cum Laude.  He attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine for his internship and residency.  He did a fellowship in MRI at The University of California in 1995-1996.  Dr. Lavin specializes in body imaging with a special focus in MRI.  Dr. Lavin has received advanced training in CT Cardiac Angiography. 

Stephanie A. Miske, M.D. joined Western Missouri Radiologic Group this past year.  She was board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1988. She graduated from The University of Nebraska School of Medicine with honors.  She did her internship and residency at The University of Kansas Medical Center.   She specializes in mammography and body imaging.  Dr. Miske practiced in Omaha performing Radiology and Nuclear Medicine from 1991-2001.  She was in charge of 8 full-time mammography sites with an extensive rural practice in mobile mammography.  She participated in meetings for the development of the MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) requirements, which passed in 1992. 

Dipak C. Shah, M.D. became board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1979.  He attended medical school in Baroda India and did his residency in India as well.  When he moved to the United States, he first worked in Dallas, TX.  Dr. Shah worked at Truman Medical Center in Kansas from 1979-1990.  He was Assistant Professor at the University ofMissouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in 1979-1980.  He joined Western Missouri in 2004.  He was voted Staffman of the Year by resident physicians at Truman Medical Center. 

Robert F. Thompson, M.D. was board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1982.  He attended The University of Kansas for his undergraduate studies and went to medical school at Creighton University.  He did his residency at St. Luke’s Hospital which included 6 months of internal medicine.  Dr. Thompson specializes in cross sectional imaging and interventional radiology.  He has advanced training in CT Coronary Angiography.
